Dr. Eyert joined Materials Design in 2011 as part of the Contract Research Team. 

After getting a PhD from the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1991 and habilitating in 1998 he held a position as assistant professor at Augsburg University.

Dr. Eyert has a strong background in ab initio methods and code development. In addition, he worked on a large range of materials classes including transition-metal chalcogenides with extraordinary cooperative phenomena such as metal-insulator transitions and magnetic instabilities.
